Our “Meet the Plumber” series continues with Ryan McCormack. He shares his unique talent, bucket list items, and dream vacation in this fun post.
Where did you grow up? Avon, Indiana
Tell us about your life outside of work. I like to hang out with my girlfriend. We like going to live music shows! We don’t have any bikes – but we like to ride bikes when we rent or borrow them. I also yo-yo on the regular. In high school, I went to Minneapolis for the Midwest Regional Yo-Yo conference. I placed 16th out of 48th in the Midwest region. Oh, and I enjoy playing video games.
What is your dream vacation? Holland or Amsterdam – I would go around the canals, eat awesome food, and visit my ancestors.
Who is your celebrity crush and why? Jennifer Gardner because she’s badass. She’s just awesome and one of my favorite superheroes.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you? Honestly, I am a pretty open guy. I guess most people don’t know I have a lot of tattoos until they see me wearing shorts or without a shirt on.
If you were trapped on a deserted island, what 3 things would you bring with you? A boat, a walkie-talkie or cell phone, and a surfboard.
What is the weirdest job you’ve ever been on as a plumber? The one I just went to today where the lady kept complaining about her husband’s poop smelling. Just kidding. Several times, I have pulled dead animals off roof vents, and it makes you want to throw up – it’s the worst smell ever.
What’s your favorite type of plumbing job to do? I like working on wells – especially well pumps. I’ve always loved pulling and diagnosing well problems!
If you weren’t a plumber, what profession would you be in? I would be a rockstar – definitely the lead singer and dancer! Or a professional yo-yo!
What are three things on your bucket list? Be wealthy, have a son, and travel the United States in the RV so we can go around eating all the great food! I love food!
Is there anything else we should know about you? I used to play soccer. I was the captain of the soccer team in high school.
Thanks for sharing, Ryan! Hope Plumbing is lucky to have you on our team.
